The story of Purim comes alive through imagination—not only in costumes and masks, but in the vibrant world we create around the characters. In this hands-on workshop, participants will work together to design and build scenic elements that help tell the story of Esther, Mordechai, Vashti, and the royal court based on the Beth Emet Theme for 2027. Using paint, fabric, cardboard, wood, and recycled materials, we'll create colorful backdrops, décor, props, and set pieces that can be used for the Purim celebration at Beth Emet. Along the way, we'll explore how art helps us retell our sacred stories and invites everyone into the experience. Whether you're an experienced artist or simply enjoy creating with your hands, you'll play a part in transforming ordinary materials into a stage filled with beauty, laughter, and Jewish storytelling. Come ready to connect through creativity, create something meaningful together, and collaborate in bringing the world of Purim to life.
